Meet Infinity
Steven Kassin is Founder and Managing Partner of Infinity Collective and its three primary business units – Infinity Real Estate, Infinity Venture Partners, and Infinity Hospitality. He oversees the company’s operations and portfolio. Steve’s leadership is integral to the vision, structuring, and execution of each project or investment. Under his stewardship, Infinity Real Estate’s team has successfully acquired or developed over 75 properties and has transacted on over $2.5 billion of real estate investments. Since 2018, with the launch of Infinity Venture Partners, Steve has also focused on the company’s diversification cultivating a premier portfolio of businesses spanning fin-tech, hospitality, fitness, health & wellness, and consumer products.
Since inception, Steve has remained committed to Infinity Real Estate’s legacy focus of “transformative” real estate investing with an emphasis on urban development. The company has since established a successful track record of both ground-up and redevelopment projects spanning residential, office, retail, and lodging properties, cementing Steve’s reputation as a focused, hands-on developer and investor. Steve is passionate about preserving and rehabilitating neglected historic, landmark-designated properties, in high-visibility and high-value locations. Infinity has thus become a leader in the niche business of reinventing irreplaceable historic properties, having completed over 40 such projects in 5 cities to-date.
In recent years, Steve’s inspired curiosity, Infinity’s deep network, and the partnership’s culture of creativity provided a platform for diversification and cross-pollination through selective venture capital and other alternative structured investments. This collection of businesses and ventures has yielded rewarding results for the company and its partners. Steve serves on advisory committees and as a board director for several disruptive growth companies within the portfolio.
In October 2015, Steve was honored to be named to Globe Street’s “Fifty Under 40” list of leading young professionals for his work with Infinity Real Estate. In 2016, he was named a “Steward of Nature” by the NYC Department of Parks' Natural Areas Conservancy for his contributions to neighborhood and green-space planting programs within New York City as well as his leadership on other environmental initiatives nationwide. From 2018 to 2022, Steve and his partners received multiple awards from the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce for Historic Preservation and Innovative Hospitality Design for projects completed in the city.
Steve graduated from the NYU Stern School of Business. He serves on the NYU Stern Center for Real Estate advisory board and was the real estate chair on NYU Stern’s Alumni Council (2014-2020). A committed NYU alum, in 2017 he and his two brothers dedicated the Kassin Center at NYU Stern’s Tisch Hall. Steve currently contributes time to multiple non-profit organizations and is an executive board member of DSN Community Center.
Steve lives in the New York area with his wife and two daughters. He has been an avid surfer and mountain sports enthusiast since childhood. He credits his love for surfing, snowboarding, the ocean, and the mountains with sparking his passion for and commitment to environmental activism.
Etienne Locoh is founder and CEO of the Urban Century Group. He also serves as Managing Partner for Infinity Urban Century and Urban Century Capital Partners, the firm's primary investment vehicles. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Locoh directed over $4 billion in real estate and energy related investments, including acquisition and development ventures, corporate recapitalizations, and private equity platform build-ups. A consummate financier and deal maker, he brings the firm and its subsidiaries deep insights into asset selection, deal structuring, and value creation. Mr. Locoh serves as a director on the board of several Urban Century Group investee companies or affiliates.
Prior to forming Urban Century Group, he was one of the founding members of Citigroup Property Investors North America, a private equity real estate fund management unit of Citigroup that was later acquired by Apollo Management L.P.. His duties included investing capital for the bank and some of its largest institutional investors. Mr. Locoh led a team focused on high yield private equity investments in real estate assets and companies across all property types in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. He served as board director for private investee companies and managed several key joint ventures of the CPI North America Fund.
Before joining Citigroup Property Investors, Mr. Locoh was vice president at JP Morgan Investment Management responsible for originating and executing value-added real estate investments on behalf of the JP Morgan Special Situation Property Fund.
Mr. Locoh received an MBA with a finance concentration from Harvard Business School, and an M.S. from Ecole d'Architecture Paris-La-Seine, with a major in architecture and a minor in urban economics. He lives in the New York metropolitan area, with his wife Suneeta and their three children.
David Berg oversees Infinity’s acquisitions, investment ventures, and investment strategy within the firm’s expanding portfolio. David joined Infinity Real Estate in 2011 as Investment Director of real estate and corporate holdings. Since then, he has led Infinity’s expansion into the Philadelphia and Miami markets and is additionally responsible for maintaining and servicing the firm’s relationships with its lenders and investors.
David has established himself as a driving force behind Infinity’s real estate acquisitions, capital transactions, and the development of the company’s portfolio. His entrepreneurial approach and investment expertise have helped Infinity acquire, develop, and execute transactions over $750 million. Under David’s leadership, Infinity is currently developing or repositioning over 1 million sq.ft. of commercial and residential property.
Prior to joining Infinity, David worked at Monday Properties, where he focused on the investment management of Class-A office towers, including 230 Park Avenue and an 11-asset Rosslyn, VA portfolio.
Earlier, he was vice president of acquisitions at Mermelstein Development focusing on mixed-use multi-family and retail-oriented investments. David started his career as an investment banker at both JPMorgan and RBC Capital Markets.
David graduated from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University with majors in Finance and Real Estate. He is an active member of the Miami Beach development community, serving as a Vice President of the Ocean Drive Association, the co-chair of the South Beach BID, a board member of the Washington Avenue BID, and the vice president of the Espanola Way Association. David is the former co-founder and vice president of the Asperger’s Awareness Counsel as well as a devoted supporter of the ASPCA and Jewish National Fund.
David is a lifelong athlete and an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoys playing hockey, skiing, tennis and soccer. He currently resides in Miami Beach with his wife Maya, son Elijah, and dog, Roux.
